Whimsical, romantic and effortlessly cool – if I had to describe this wedding with only a few words.
Janice and Michia a super kind couple from San Francisco chose this beautiful location after checking dozens of castles across Europe with the help of Andrea Vagvolgyi – Wedding Planner from Dreamwedding in Hungary. Since their dream was to find a castle with history, they soon
booked Hungary’s third biggest baroque Castle Festetics for their destination wedding.
Over 80 guests travelled to Hungary from all over the world to celebrate with them. The overall theme of their wedding was romantic-ethereal and this feel was achieved perfectly with elements such as custom illustration and calligraphy by The Fanatic Calligrapher and lush, seasonal flowers by Casaflowerbudapest. Both the ceremony & reception were designed with consistency, with the same color palette, which included beige, various shades of light pink gold and green.
The guests enjoyed the welcome reception in the garden overlooking the palace. Their ceremony was held at the most spectacular Mirror Salon, and it was one of the most emotional wedding ceremony I ever witnessed. The prayers, the songs, the vows, tears, laughters – was more than magical. The event continued with a cocktail hour in the garden and followed by a reception and party at the spectacular White Salon. Their first-dance took place at the very unique Venetian Salon. Great party, super DJ’s and a special sparkle exit – with a great surprise : projection mapping with music was the best closure for the event. I’m honoured to have been part of this event, special thanks to all wedding vendors in Hungary who contributed.
