This winter I had the privilege to spend 2 Months on the beautiful tropical island of Bali. We just decided with my husband to escape from cold middle-european winter weather and live 2 Months in Bali, the island we always wanted to see, but we never had the opportunity to stay for a longer period in a tropical paradise like this. Besides enjoying the sun, the sea, some surfing, exploring a new culture, I couldn’t imagine myself not working for 2 months. I’ve imagined how to have a destination wedding here next year.
If ever there were the perfect locale for wedding festivities, I was pretty sure Bali would be it. So I started to search for wedding planners and a few days later I met the talented Bali Wedding Planner – Jero Susanti from One Stop Events Bali. She invited me to capture Dian&Rey’s beautiful wedding party at Cocoon Beach Club in Seminyak. The couple is originally from Indonesia but have lived for several years in Australia. They met 10 years ago in Sydney at an indo band competition.
Dian was wearing a very unique caped wedding dress made by a Jakarta based designer. Her bridesmaids were wearing cute white dresses, stylish flower crowns made of tropical flowers. I absolutely loved them, they were shining like stars the whole day!
The reception’s theme at was Bamboo White Party, for which Cocoon Beach Club was a perfect choice. Before the dinner we took a few sunset wedding photos at Seminyak Beach, Dian&Rey’s love for each other shines through the pictures. Performance of traditional balinese dancers, firedancers and modern music was part of their amazing wedding party. Once it became dark the whole bridal party was heading towards the beach to send away wedding wish lanterns.
I feel truly blessed for this opportunity in my life, I would return to this beautiful island anytime.
